Joel is the Associate Pastor at Mountair Christian Church in Lakewood, Colorado. He oversees family ministry, is involved in community development and implements structures and systems for the church. Joel is also Executive Director of Edgewater Collective which is a grassroots community development organization dedicated to providing hope for the next generation in the greater Edgewater area.

Hillary is our home manager and keeps all the details coordinated. She also works as a paraprofessional at our daughters’ elementary school. Hillary and I met our senior year at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana and have been married almost ten years. We spent our first eight years in Colorado during which I completed my M.A. in Youth and Family Ministry at Denver Seminary. After a short two year stint in Champaign, Illinois, we are back in Colorado. Hillary blogs about our family life here.

Anna is our oldest daughter and is eight years old. Her latest love is Star Wars. She has moved on from anything pink.

Norah is six years old and clings to her quilt named “Stripe.”
